Why?
More than 25% of European adults have a skin allergy. Once developed, it’s for life. That is why prevention is so important.
Our mission is to reduce the risk of children developing contact allergies by supporting more informed choices early in life. We therefore advise parents, schools and childcare organisations to consider AllergyCertified certification when purchasing personal care products for children. This certification stands for a thorough assessment of allergens, hormone-disrupting and carcinogenic substances.
Why certify locations?
By certifying locations, we bring our mission into practice. In places where children come together – such as childcare, schools, hotels or events – products are still commonly used that may pose a risk to sensitive children’s skin, including items like diapers, sunscreens or lotions containing fragrance and other allergens. The more locations choose skin-friendly products, the lower the risk of developing allergies and the greater the trust of parents.

How does it work?
Step 1: Register
You register your location using the form on this page.
Step 2: Exploratory conversation
We start with a joint conversation to explore where your location can make the most impact. Every step counts – from focusing on one category to working towards several.
Step 3: Access to suppliers
You gain access to suppliers offering skin-friendly products across four categories: Hygiene (e.g. diapers), Care (creams), Cleaning (cleaning products) and Toys. Every step forward matters, and the more categories your location adopts, the stronger its contribution to a skin-friendly environment.
Step 4: Review & Certification
After our review, you receive certification (contract), visible on-site materials (such as a sticker or sign), and assets for use on your website.
Step 5: Campaign & Communication
You receive campaign materials to help inform parents clearly and transparently. During the campaign week, a workshop for parents can be organised.
Step 6: Training & Development
Training for both parents and staff, ensuring that knowledge is not only visible, but also applied in daily practice.
