As product developer at Marcel’s Green Soap, Eefje Maquiné noticed a growing demand from consumers for fragrance-free products. “Not every skin can tolerate perfume,” she explains. “And because we want our personal care line to be accessible to everyone, developing an allergen-free range was a logical step.”

The decision to partner with the international certification body AllergyCertified aligned perfectly with that mission. “We strive to make our products as sustainable and inclusive as possible. Working with AllergyCertified allowed us to optimize our 0% range for people with sensitive skin.”

The new line – which includes hand soap, shower gel, and laundry detergent – is free from fragrance, colorants, and other allergens. “We’re only adding one scent,” Eefje says with a smile, “the unique scent of clean.”
